RESILIENCY IN PRACTICE: A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP FOR EDUCATORS

The pressures on teachers and staff call forth a resilient mindset for educators to survive and thrive – professionally and personally – throughout an academic year. The intentions of this praxis-oriented seminar are to:

  • Cultivate an understanding of resiliency within the current educational environment
  • Learn practical ways to integrate resiliency into the classroom
  • Develop strategies to enhance resiliency within teacher-student and teacher-parent interactions
  • Engage in reflective practice to link resiliency to an educator’s growth mindset
  • Provide a space for renewal amongst teachers and support staff to enhance overall school culture

This seminar is designed for both after-school staff meetings (45min) and Professional Development days (45min to 3hours).
